The Department of Mathematics was started right from the beginning of the college as the subject was taught as one paper for the Pre-degree classes. The department started functioning in full swing in 1980 when degree course in Mathematics was introduced. 38 batches have gone out since then with excellent results. Many of the batches, not all, have secured cent percent pass. Considering the quality of input, the output can be considered exceptional. The result itself speak about the quality of the education offered and the dedication of the faculty. Smart classes and power point presentations are added advantages. The computer installed in the department enables the students to enrich their experiences with audio- visual aids. We have a library, though small, which brighten up the reading habits of the students and caters to the reference needs of the students. Over and above all these, our tremendous student- teacher relationship facilitates us to create a wonderful learning atmosphere in the campus.
